The next chapter of Abe’s

Once upon a waffle, a friendly Sasquatch named Abe roamed the misty forests of Washington, drawn by the mouthwatering scent of batter sizzling at dawn. He followed that aroma straight to a cheerful waffle truck, eventually becoming its playful mascot and unofficial protector of all things delicious.

Now, we—Nickie, Danny, and our three kids—are stepping in to carry on Abe’s tale.  Nickie grew up in Tumwater, inheriting a treasure trove of recipes from her great-grandma, grandma, and mom. She also worked as a server in local restaurants, which fueled her passion for bringing people together over a good meal.  Danny spent his childhood between Michigan's lakes and New Jersey's coastlines, where a long line of commercial fishermen fostered his love for the water. He would seize any opportunity to cast a line. This enthusiasm followed him through 22 years of Army service, whisking our family from Alabama to Italy, New York, and Colorado and ultimately leading us back to the Northwest. Through moves and military life, we always found comfort in shared meals, laughter, and the warmth of community—values that anchor us to this day.

Like Abe, we wander a bit—fishing, exploring, cooking together—but our mission remains the same: to serve joy on a plate for the community we cherish. We invite you to step into our story and meet Abe in all his waffle-loving glory. Welcome to Abe’s—where every waffle tells a tale, and every guest is part of our growing legend.
